Catalyst Speaks

We view ourselves as a marketing company. Consequently, our
"capabilities" are numerous and various, but they all focus upon the
area on and around the tradeshow floor. We want to be an extension of
your marketing department.
Everything we do is about IMPACT on the show floor. If this means creating additional capabilities to support tradeshow initiatives,
then that is what we do. We do whatever is needed to make your program work well.

Design is a critically important part of any effective tradeshow marketing programming.

We believe in the things design can accomplish.  Good design saves money.  Good design generates leads and sales.  Good design is IMPACT, and IMPACT is what a tradeshow exhibit is all about.  Good Design = Value.  In other words, trade show exhibit efficacy is design efficacy.  When we talk about rental or purchase exhibit design, we are talking about a collection of design disciplines: environmental design, architecture, graphics, lighting, sound, media and interiors. 'Everyone designs who devises courses of action aimed at changing existing situations into preferred ones.'1

This says it all.

In order to make our designs work for our clients, we adhere to the following design process:2

By utilizing the method above - FOR EVERY SHOW - our designers work to transform "Existing Situations" into "Preferred" situations.  This is why we have populated our company with designers.  This is why we spend so much energy talking about booth design.  And this is why design is important to you.  (Please see our Position Paper: The Design Process and Why it Matters)

2 Too often the design process begins with style.  We believe this is a monumental mistake.  It leads EXACTLY to what we see on the show floor every day: ineffective and expensive exhibit solutions.  We know that a successful exhibit can sometimes be "forced" into a specific style.  That is well and good.  However, we believe that an exhibit design should never be sacrificed for the sake of style.  Style comes last.  It is applied to something which already makes sense in and of itself.
